This membership is for scholars at all levels from the early career researcher (ECR) stage to senior academics at the Associate and Full Professorial levels. Membership at this level will enable existing academics to continue to develop their career and understand the relevant skills needed to advance to senior-level positions. For existing senior academics, membership will give them an opportunity to network with junior academics, providing an avenue for mentorship and dedicated leadership for the development of others.

This membership is open for current directors, managers, and leaders within the Higher Education sector such as the Dean of School, Director of School, Head of Department, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor/President. As leaders who manage people from a diverse background including Black academics, this membership will provide opportunities to learn more about the challenges that their staff face, their experiences and perceptions about pressing issues from different perspectives including gender, identity, race, promotion, mentoring, support, and many more.

We also encourage non-academic membership, particularly for individuals who may want to transition into academia from a current non- academic career path. This membership will provide opportunities to learn about the requirements for entering academia, progression, and succeeding on the job. This membership level is also available to practitioners who want to regularly engage with academia and the scholarly community for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaborative learning.

This membership is for current students who are enrolled on a Postgraduate degree such as Masters (e.g., MSc, MPhil or equivalent, and a PhD degree). Students at this level will benefit immensely from regular engagements with senior academics, professionals, as well as leaders in the Higher Education sector in the UK and globally. Through being part of a community where knowledge is shared and networks are built, this membership level will also serve as a catalyst for an entrance into an academic career.
